Originally posted by Sir TEPL:I doubt that a new smash is already being worked on. It would be the first of its kind on the switch.Smash has historically been a huge system seller for nintendo, so it's very likely they're already working on Smash 5. It probably won't be ready any time soon though, given Nintendo's development times on top of Sakurai supposedly moving on from the franchise. Im aware of all this. I was reffering to the fact smash for Wii U only recently had its last piece of content and now we have a new console.AKA: We got smash at the (near) end of Wii U's life span. The fact the switch has only just come out and that it took so long for the wii U version, thats my point of making this thread. If you publish a game of the same genre (or similar) on a console owned by the people who made the genre (give or take) before they publish the latest installment you will have (possibly) more people buying it for that platform.
And because no one on Auburn’s side touched the ball, it should have been an easy double-dribble call, but the refs missed it. “As Ty Jerome brings the ball up the court, he accidentally bumps. Double dribble call.
It will get them comfortable in figuring out how to play something of that genre with the new controls and/or system (not just speaking nintendo here ofc)Its the same with pocket rumble.YOu can put it on the 3DS sure. That works. But pocket rumble was made to be a full fighting game with full support 'inspired' by the neo geo pocket games.
The complexity is larger.Puting it on teh switch gives them the retro fell when in portable mode and the chance to be used as the easier to maintain device during competitive matches. (PC fighting games very rarely ever make it there. Consoles are easier and quicker to setup for them.)Its the same for this. You have a competitive and well made Smash bros inspired game (with many other inspirations) now, for the sake of this post, on an actual nintendo platform. Showing how good it is that its with the company that inspired it.
As well as being easier to setup for tournements.Sorry for the long post. Felt I needed to properly explain what I meant. As sad as it is, I wasn't really motivated to get a Switch until I saw Pocket Rumble being ported, 'cause I find it hard for me to be all that interested in PC fighting games-most of my favourites have either been ported to handheld (BlazBlue, Darkstalkers, Street Fighter, Smash, Power Stone) or have been generally console-based (Guilty Gear, KoF-though I did play a lot of older stuff through MAME).If I could get Rivals of Aether for the Switch, I'd probably play it like.80% more than I ever find myself doing currently.
(And I'm holding off getting Pocket Rumble 'till I pick up a Switch.).
