Challenging match-3 levels. Follow Robin Hood’s story across 5 chapters. 20 exciting scenes. Original epic music. Rated 5 out of5 bymotogirl100 fromThe best of the bunch from this developer. Please give it a try:) This is based on the demo but I bought other games from this developer like The Chronicles of Joseph of Egypt, Chronicles of King Arthur and earlier Crime Stories: Days of Vengeance.
Most of the time I agree with 'penmom' reviews 100% but I think she was a bit harsh regarding this one. The story is better, the tiles bright and distinctive on darker background for clarity. Earlier games had simple, small geometric shaped tiles and background that did not set the tiles out to see clearly.I think the improvement is definitely there from one game to the next. It's hard to come up with different Match 3 game to really stand out so I think the credit should be given here for beautiful graphics, fun storyline and my favorite - bouncing tiles after they hit bottom. As I mentioned before in my reviews, not all Match 3 games are made for Mac or other fun games like Tales of Lagoona 3 (hint, hint) so I do appreciate the ones that are cool and very pleasing to my eye:)Of course there is always room for improvement.maybe another option of hidden object bonus games integrated within after certain level? Or extra building to build as a puzzle? Probably my other Big Fish friends will have ideas for this dev but for now any good Match 3 game is a buy for me.
Rated 3 out of5 byKafinkee fromOk I certainly can't remember game board layouts from one game to the next so can't contribute anything to that discussion; my memory's just not that good I guess. I don't own any of the previous Chronicles games either. But, I did recognize several elements this game has in common with one I did play some years ago, Fruit Lockers Reborn. If I recall correctly, Fruit Lockers got progressively more challenging - very rare that a new M3 game does that anymore (but I keep hoping!). I don't think this will turn out to be one of them - based on my experience playing only the demo - but who knows?
Hopefully someone who plays the entire game will soon review. I wasn't bored, found the story to be better/more interesting than most others (but that's about the last of my concerns re Match 3 games). I didn't care when the demo ended either, no urge to rush back here to purchase. I'd use a coupon on it though, or choose it as my 2nd game during a BOGO sale, in the faint hope that it does get more challenging. Otherwise I'll probably quit playing before I finish the game, bored of it like most of the other M3s I've purchased in recent years.
Rated 1 out of5 bypennmom36 fromOH COME ON, YOU CAN'T JUST CHANGE THE STORY AND NEVER CHANGE THE LEVEL LAYOUTS! Today the PC version was finally released for 'The Chronicles of King Arthur Episode 2' while Mac users were treated to the same game with a different story about Robin Hood. I went out on a limb to give King Arthur 4 stars because they had added a Timed Mode and a few other game mechanic upgrades. I mistakenly thought the devs were listening to our suggestions, but obviously, they don't care enough to bother changing the level layouts. These Match 3 games may have an interesting story, amazing graphics, challenging obstacles, smooth Match 3 mechanics, interesting bonus power-up tools, clever builder aspects required to progress, and obtainable goals, but who cares about all that if it's the SAME game as the previous 6 releases? If you have only played one or possibly two games by this developer this will be a 5-Star game and certainly worthy of a purchase, but for those of us who have purchased or played several e-FunSoft Match 3 games, it's a huge NO THANK YOU!This is a swap type, Match 3 game that requires you swap two adjacent elements to create a group of at least three tiles.
You can opt to play in a Relaxed, untimed mode and there is a High Scores Leaderboard. The goal of each level is to make matches over all of the Brown filled-in Cells as well as matching a specified number of specified Tiles that are shown at the top of the screen. Lethal league blaze character abilities.
Some levels also require you to collect Magic Spheres by dropping them to the bottom of the board. Some tiles Morph inside of a Bubble which allows you to pop the bubble when the jewel inside morphs to the desired jewel. I'm not sure why the morphing bubble tiles appear but I would suspect it's a reward for making a large match? You don't earn Power-ups for making Large Matches, however, every match you make fills the Energy Orb, the larger the matches are, the faster it will charge. The good thing about this feature is that any of the power-ups can be used and refilled on any level, unlike some games where you have to wait until a level comes along that has a particular bonus tile to refill that power-up.
