Doki Doki Literature Club – Bad Ending Guide. This is a really easy one to get. You will get this route easily if you do not take advantage of the save/load mechanics. All it says is that Monika exacerbated her depression. That being said, depression doesn't always need a reason. Sometimes it's as simple as an imbalance of chemicals in the brain. I actually guessed what was going on with her because it was almost like reading my own thoughts. Trying to put on a brave face and smile for everyone like nothing is wrong. Doing your best to make everyone else happy because you don't feel like you deserve it, but their happiness is the only thing that slightly makes the rain clouds go away. The reason for her depression could be anything at all. We probably won't know.

All we know Is it's there and gets played with. Originally posted by:hmm i finish it three times already but still haven'tt come across it, enlighten meIt doesn't actually say why.

All we know Is it's there and gets played with.oh ok well maybe it's the author way of saying depression can happen to anyone and it does not need a reason i guess. Sayori kills herself because monika pushed her into it. Think of this game as a real romance VN with a self aware AI character.

The game is supposed to have her depression as an aspect of her route, but she's not supposed to kill herself. That is monikas doing. So the people saying her depression was amplified are correct.

That's what the ending SHOULD lead you to recognize. Monika tells you she pushed all the characters to try and get them out of the picture. She also says she didn't know exactly how it would all turn out and that she didn't know for sure what she was doing.Kinda blundered her way through getting you all to yourself, rather than trying to erase all the other girls intentionally.

∘ ─── ♡ ─── ∘Appearance∘ ─── ♡ ─── ∘Sayori has coral pink hair, cut short and slightly curled at the ends, with a large red bow on the left side of her head. Her eyes are sky blue, and she is of average height and weight.

She wears the normal school uniform like the other members of the Literature Club, which is a warm grey blazer with a brown sweater vest underneath it over a white collared shirt topped off with a red ribbon, though unlike the others, Sayori keeps her blazer unbuttoned. She also wears a dark blue skirt, white knee socks and white uwabaki slippers with sky blue tips. The protagonist points out to Sayori the next club day how she rushes to get herself ready in the morning, resulting in disheveled hair, a displaced bow, and some toothpaste on her often crooked collar. When outside the school, Sayori wears a pink shirt with rolled-up long sleeves and blue shorts. At the time of her death, she is seen wearing a brown collared white dress shirt, which has a pocket on each side of her chest, with brown folds and six black buttons, the top one being unbuttoned, and she also wears red shorts. She is the second shortest character in the game, after Natsuki.∘ ─── ♡ ─── ∘. ∘ ─── ♡ ─── ∘Personality∘ ─── ♡ ─── ∘Sayori is portrayed as the archetype of a Genki Girl, expressing a talkative and cheery disposition. She is very clumsy, noted for finding ways to accidentally hurt herself or to drop things.

Regardless, she is shown to be a cunning individual who can trick others to get food. She is usually the only character, other than the protagonist, shown to break up arguments, Monika noting her sentiments is necessary to keeping a relaxing atmosphere in the Literature Club (proven by her absence in Act 2). Monika notes that while she may look like a good leader, Sayori is usually better when it comes to dealing with people, notably at mediations. Sayori tries her best to help everyone be happy and dislikes attention directed at her well-being because she feels unworthy of anything that others have to offer her.Sayori's depression makes her disorganized, and she often 'cannot find a reason to get out of bed in the morning'. Her room, which the protagonist regularly cleaned for her, is also noted to be untidy.

The protagonist notes how there hasn't been much change in her, and the changes the protagonist notices in her later are due to Monika's interference, amplifying her depression and suicidal tendencies. Sayori also doesn't seem to think highly of herself.

Her relationship with the protagonist and other people's happiness are her main coping mechanisms since she believes that if she makes everyone else happy, she will not have a reason whatsoever to be unhappy.∘ ─── ♡ ─── ∘. ∘ ─── ♡ ─── ∘Sayori's Poems∘ ─── ♡ ─── ∘Dear Sunshine(Second Day Poem)The way you glow through my blinds in the morningIt makes me feel like you missed me.Kissing my forehead to help me out of bed.Making me rub the sleepy from my eyes. Are you asking me to come out and play? Are you trusting me to wish away a rainy day?I look above. The sky is blue. It's a secret, but I trust you too.If it wasn't for you, I could sleep forever. But I'm not mad.I want breakfast.∘ ─── ♡ ─── ∘Bottles(Third Day Poem)I pop off my scalp like the lid of a cookie jar. It's the secret place where I keep all my dreams.Little balls of sunshine, all rubbing together like a bundle of kittensI reach inside with my thumb and forefinger and pluck one out. It's warm and tingly. But there's no time to waste! ∘ ─── ♡ ─── ∘Personal Thoughts∘ ─── ♡ ─── ∘Sayori is my favorite character for many reasons. Her sweet, pure demeanor attaches you instantly to her character, and her poems are very funny and cute (except maybe the last one).

This seems to become her style through the game. Her poem words are also perhaps the most easily guessed, considering she wears her heart on her sleeve, at least with the protagonist. She loves him with all her heart, and in her last poem she states 'Get out of my head before I show you how much I love you' perhaps as a way of saying that the protagonist deserves more than her, and by killing herself, the protagonist will get the chance to meet a 'better' girl. Her death literally brought tears to my eyes, especially since Sayori was instantly my favorite from the beginning. Although I managed to stay away from spoilers until finishing the game, I kind of just had a feeling that she would be dead upon entering her house the second time.

It's no fair lol.One thing I did find out though, is that there is a 'happy ending to this story, if you can figure it out. From what I've researched, you have to get all nine cutscenes in the game before letting Sayori die. So, essentially, play through a game appealing to Sayori, and after getting her second cutscene, start a new game. Do this for each character. After getting the ninth cutscene, play the game normally. Sayori will still die, but in Act 4, Sayori comes back differently than she does in the standard ending. She actually thanks you, and you also get a special note from the devs.

It's pretty cool. If you're reading this, you probably already knew that, but if not, I hope this helped!Jeremiah.Works CitedBackground and Profile Picture made and permitted use. Fact there’s actually three main endings (spoilers, duh):1) Normal Ending,You play the game normally and Sayori becomes self-aware.2) The Happy Ending:The one you mentioned where you unlock all the CG’s and Sayori is normal in Act 4.3) The Shortest Ending:The shortest ending trigged at the very beginning of the game.Every time you load up a new game in Act 1, the game checks that ‘’ is there and working. If not, Sayori realises there’s a problem and panics. The end screen shows and Sayori can also be see hanging. You can only achieve that if Sayori has not showed up already.
